Trade Ideas platform compatibility

Trade Ideas on Mac: the scanner core works in browser, but desktop parity matters.

Mac users can access Trade Ideas through the web version or run the Windows desktop application through a Windows environment. The choice depends on which modules your workflow needs.

Your two documented options

Trade Ideas documents two paths for Mac users: use its browser-based Web version, or run the full Windows desktop application through a Windows environment such as Windows 365/AWS or virtualization software.

What the web version keeps

The web version includes the platform’s 500+ alerts and filters for custom scans. Trade Ideas also states Premium users can access Holly AI entry and exit signals in the web version, and it says there is no speed difference between desktop and web.

What the web version leaves out

The company describes the browser product as “slimmer.” Its current guide says the web version does not include Market Explorer, Brokerage Plus, or external linking. It also limits users to five charts at a time and omits certain visual and sound features.

Those are not cosmetic differences if your intended workflow depends on broker automation, linked external charts, or a larger multi-chart workspace.

Decision tree for Mac users

Your workflowBest starting point
Scanner + alerts + a modest browser chart layoutEvaluate the web version first
Need Brokerage Plus or external linkingPlan around the Windows desktop app
Need many Trade Ideas charts simultaneouslyDesktop app likely fits better
Unsure which modules matterUse a free account/Test Drive opportunity to validate the interface before annual billing

Do not buy a plan before checking the interface

Platform fit is a gating decision. A Mac user considering Premium for Holly should still confirm whether the missing desktop modules affect the rest of the process. Solve compatibility first, then choose Standard versus Premium.
